All composite decking materials are NOT created GREEN and EQUAL
Through our efficient use of recycled materials, A.E.R.T. has built its business on making superior products with lower environmental impacts. In recognition of the advancements we have made in recycling technology and market development for recycled products, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded A.E.R.T. with the U.S. EPA, Region 6 Partnership for Environmental Excellence Award.
In general, A.E.R.T.’s purchase of recycled plastics supports many local, regional and national plastic recycling programs. Use of recycled content lowers overall lifecycle cost, saves energy, reduces greenhouse gases, reduces waste, conserves resources for the future and creates jobs.

“Green” is not a cliché and climate change is serious business. Everybody and everything can make a difference in the Green Revolution, and Nycon is committed to making a difference. We do this by reducing our reliance on scarce resources, extending the useful life of our reinforcing products–and now, with environmentally friendly NyconG fibers, reducing energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, and landfill waste. NyconG Physical Properties Designed specifically for concrete reinforcement, NyconG is a well-graded blend of nylon fibers (.75″ to micro length) and a carefully controlled percentage of calcium carbonate particles also made from 100% reclaimed carpet. Both the nylon fiber and backing from post-consumer and post-industrial carpet serve to produce NyconG’s high-performance product reinforcement. Fiber color is generally a light tan and will not affect performance or the aesthetics of finished product. Production and packaging standards of NyconG fibers adhere to strict quality control measures, including random testing to insure minimal environmental impact.
